The CAEL 24" Hydraulic Thumb is designed to improve gripping and load control on 2–3 ton excavators. Its compact design is ideal for residential excavation, landscaping, utility work, tree removal, and cleanup projects where working space is limited.
The hydraulic thumb works alongside the excavator bucket to provide improved control when handling logs, rocks, brush, debris, and demolition material.

The thumb is constructed from high-strength T1 structural steel with AR400-reinforced wear areas to help withstand repeated impact and abrasion.
Compatibility & Installation
Designed for 2–3 ton excavators with compatible boom geometry and hydraulic systems.
The thumb requires direct welding to the excavator bucket mount point. Professional installation is recommended.
Important: This thumb does not include a pressure relief valve. A suitable pressure relief valve must be installed on the thumb cylinder before operation to help protect the hydraulic system and support safe operation.
